Manager – Alternative Marketing

Job Responsibilities



We are looking for an energetic and strategic Manager – Alternative Marketing to help us unlock new growth opportunities and build strong partnerships in Thailand and across ASEAN. In this role, you will combine your deep understanding of life insurance with innovative thinking to develop marketing plans, expand new distribution channels, and create win-win collaborations with both existing and new partners. This position is offered on a contract basis with the potential to be converted to a permanent role based on strong performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Identify and Develop New Business Opportunities

  • Explore and secure new business opportunities with current clients and potential partners.

  • Analyze partners’ marketing strategies, strengths, gaps, business potential, and needs (Cedant Analysis) to design effective growth strategies.

  • Seek out and establish new partnerships — such as reinsurers, brokers, digital platforms, and start-ups — to broaden target markets and distribution channels within Thailand and ASEAN.

  • Develop comprehensive marketing plans, product/service roadmaps, operational frameworks, resource allocations, and budgets for management approval.

  • Deliver impactful presentations and proposals, providing partners with strategic advice in line with company direction.

  • Follow up on partner feedback and satisfaction to refine proposals and improve business strategies.

  • Strengthen relationships and ensure partners’ needs are met through excellent service and consulting.

2. Execute Marketing Plans and Deliver Results

  • Initiate and manage new projects to develop non-cedant partnerships and open new markets.

  • Guide product development activities, ensuring projects align with plans and deliver tangible results.

    • Identify potential business models that address customer needs and market opportunities.

    • Define core value propositions and mutual benefits for both the company and its partners.

    • Conduct feasibility studies and build business cases to secure project approvals.

  • Draft and review reinsurance treaties, MOUs, and service agreements with new partners, including risk assessments.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to support new business development and maintain existing business.

  • Evaluate project outcomes and recommend improvements.

3. Lead Strategic Projects

  • Drive collaboration agreements with business partners to create mutual growth.

  • Work closely with the Business Development team to seek business solutions and expand into international markets.

  • Partner with the Product Development team to co-create new products and define clear target segments.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Insurance, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in the life or general insurance industry in marketing, product development, sales, or international business development.

  • Strong knowledge of life insurance products and product marketing.

  • Solid understanding of insurance statistics and actuarial concepts.

  • Good knowledge of risk management.

  • LOMA certification is an advantage.
