| The 22nd Asian Reinsurers’ Summit (ARS) at the InterContinental Chiang Mai, Thailand The 22nd Asian Reinsurers’ Summit (ARS) was held from 15–17 July 2026 at the InterContinental Chiang Mai, Thailand, hosted by Thai Reinsurance Public Company Limited (Thai Re) and Thaire Life Assurance Public Company Limited (Thaire Life). Mr. Oran Vongsuraphichet, Chief Executive Officer of Thai Reinsurance Public Company Limited and Chairman of Thaire Life Assurance Public Company Limited commence the summit with welcome address to all the participants. ARS 2026 delved into discussions and experience sharing on the topics of latest challenges surrounding the (re)insurance industry, including the cyber incidents, EV insurance experience in Thai market as well as the rapid transition to an ageing society on the industry. The Summit successfully brought together 30 senior executives and representatives from 12 ARS member companies. On this occasion, the hosts also invited representatives from the Ministry of Finance of Lao PDR to attend as observers, providing them with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the regional reinsurance community. ARS is an annual gathering founded in 2001, which aims to drive the development of the Asian reinsurance market through the promotion of multilateral communication among Asian national reinsurers. |
